About the place: Perroquet Island, your private stay over

Perroquet Island is a place that holds a special place in our hearts. Nestled off the North Shore of our beautiful province of Québec, this small island is part of the Mingan Archipelago. It’s a true sanctuary for wildlife, especially the iconic Atlantic puffins,  affectionately known as “sea parrots.”

But this is more than just a birdwatching site: it’s a fragile ecosystem where you can observe puffins in a way that is safe, respectful, and ethical. Thanks to the conservation efforts of Parks Canada, visitors can explore the island without disturbing the birds, while enjoying a truly immersive and responsible experience.

What makes our workshop truly unique is the exclusive access to the island for three nights when other visitors have to leave.

We’ll be among the lucky few who get to stay after the day visitors leave, with the incredible feeling of having the island all to ourselves. As night falls, you’ll hear the puffins chatting in the salty sea breeze while you sleep comfortably in a beautifully restored inn: a former lighthouse keeper’s house full of authentic charm, reserved exclusively for you.

Beyond this deep immersion in nature, you’ll enjoy refined local cuisine prepared on-site, celebrating the rich flavors of the North Shore. This workshop is a perfect blend of wild beauty, cozy comfort, and a shared passion for photography.

We’ll be by your side throughout the journey, helping you capture powerful images and sharing our tips to improve your shots. Whether in the bright daylight, the golden glow of sunset, or the stillness of blue hour, we’ll be there to guide and inspire you.

Where you will be sleeping.
